Studies have consistently shown that amino acid supplementation can have a positive impact on muscle growth and recovery. A 2018 study published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition found that EAA supplementation increased muscle protein synthesis and improved muscle function in older adults (1). Another study published in 2020 in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research found that a post-workout amino acid supplement increased muscle protein synthesis and reduced muscle damage after resistance exercise (2).
