Metal Slug 6, like its predecessors, is a side-scrolling shooter with two-player cooperative gameplay. It features a variety of weapons, known as "Slugs," which players can use to combat enemies. The game introduced new graphics and gameplay mechanics, building on the success of previous titles. From a technical standpoint, Metal Slug 6 runs on the Neo Geo MVS hardware, which the MAME emulator aims to replicate.
