The movie revolves around the life of Aayappan (played by Mohanlal), a 55-year-old man who is a used car dealer. He leads a happy life with his wife and two children. However, his life takes a dramatic turn when his wife leaves him, and he gets into a series of misadventures. He then meets a young and beautiful woman named Jessi (played by Shruti Haasan), who becomes his love interest.
