The show follows the journey of Saraswatichandra, a well-educated and modern-thinking young man who is forced to marry a girl of his parents' choice, Kumudini. Despite their initial reluctance, they develop a deep bond, and Saraswatichandra tries to bring about a change in Kumudini's life, who is suffocating under the traditional values of her in-laws. Throughout the series, Saraswatichandra faces various challenges from his family and society as he tries to break free from the shackles of tradition and establish a new way of life.
