Telugu literature has a long and storied history, dating back to the 10th century. The earliest known Telugu literary works include the "Andhra Mahabharata" and "The Ramayana", both of which feature romantic elements. However, it was during the 19th and 20th centuries that Telugu romantic fiction began to flourish.
